A New Toy

Today, I finally finished out the skills needed to fly the Ishtar. I am working on Recons next, but that’s a whole other story. I am curious how well the Ishtar does in level 4 missions.

I’ve been reading that passive tanks work well on the Ishtar, so I am immediately working on my shield tanking skills. In the meantime, I’ll be fitting a standard armor tank. Originally, I was considering going for the Lachesis first since it’s about 65% of the cost of an ishtar, but the tank and damage are too weak to consider for missioning. When I get a recon, it will be an Arazu for it’s nice cloaking.

Below is the fit I plan to use on my ishtar for the first few days of missioning. The tank will adjust to the rat damage obviously. With my skills, the DPS is 420+ with Ogres or Gardes. This tank is good for about 230 DPS omni. The Kinetic/Thermal tank (with a thermal hardener) is about 500 DPS (525 with cheap implants).
