Super Secret Operations

Our alliance leaders have asked as many members as possible to participate in a PvP operation. In the interests of security, I won’t discuss the actual operation, but I think the preparation is interesting and won’t give away too much info.

This operation requires a fleet of cap ships and battleships. Smaller ships will be special purpose and I don’t qualify to fly those. I’ll be flying a Dominix as it seems to be the ship I’m most effective in. The requirements for battleships are mostly gank, some tank and remote reppers if they don’t eat into damage output too much. Drones are my main damage producer, so I’ll be fitting a remote repper. Below is the loadout that I’ve chosen for this operation:

The Compressed Coil guns are a good balance of cost and damage output. I can’t use tech II guns or remote reppers, so this is as good as it gets for a reasonable sum of money. The Warp Disruptor, Warp Scrambler, Webber, and Warrior II’s are for interceptors or frigates which get too close.

I could lose a point (warp scrambler or disrupter) and fit something else, but our primary targets will be large and I’m cap stable running everything except the repper, so there really isn’t any pressing need to change the setup. If I do change my mids, I would consider swapping a cap recharger for a sensor booster to help with the frigates.

This loadout is actually giving me some ideas for my missioning setup. Lots of damage mods and less tank would be useful for a lot of the easier missions.
